By accessing or using AniNewsAPI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
AniNewsAPI is a free, open-source REST API that aggregates anime news articles from third-party sources including Anime News Network, Crunchyroll, MyAnimeList, Anime Corner, Otaku USA, Anime Herald, and Comic Book. The Service scrapes, caches, and serves article metadata and content.
3. Usage
- The Service is provided as-is for informational and development purposes.
- You may use the API in your applications, subject to rate limits (100 requests/minute per IP).
- You may not use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose.
- You may not attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the Service itself at excessive volume, or disrupt its operation.
- Commercial use is permitted, but you must attribute the data sources appropriately.
4. Content Ownership
All news articles, images, and media served by the Service are the property of their respective sources. AniNewsAPI does not claim ownership of any third-party content. The API code itself is open-source under the MIT License.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of content
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall AniNewsAPI, its creator, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
7. Third-Party Sources
The Service aggregates content from third-party websites. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these external sources. Links to original articles are provided for attribution.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
